We know you’re planning evening ice cream trips, beach vacations, and will generally be spending more time outside in the next couple weeks, so we wanted to give you the ultimate guide to the best summer outerwear that will keep you stylish and a bit warmer on those breezy days. Keep reading to check out our favorites, and to pick out what you’ll be adding to your cart!

The Classic Kimono

Ok, raise your hand if you’ve been styling kimonos with a cute tank and some denim shorts forever. If you’ve been around the Ayven Team for awhile, you’ll know that we love a classic kimono look. Kimonos are perfect because they’re extremely lightweight, and add the right amount of detail to any summer outfit.

We’ve got two new kimonos in the shop right now, and you’re going to love how they feel when you put them on. Our Clara Kimono has gorgeous hues of peach, blue, and some cream, which is the best for pairing with our Archer cami and your favorite denim.

Our Jocelyn Kimono is one that everyone in the shop is obsessing over right now. This one pairs well with our Della Top in either cream or mauve. You can choose your perfect fit, anywhere from sizes S/M through 1X/2X. We dream of wearing this kimono with some breezy shorts and a pair of cute summer sandals.

The Light Sweater

You might think we’re crazy for recommending a sweater for the summer, but trust us. These options are amazing for wearing with your beloved shorts on the beach when the sun goes down. You can even throw these on right over your swimsuit for some extra coverage and warmth.

Believe it or not, there are summertime moments that leave us wishing for a light layer that will make us feel cozy, and these two pieces will do just that. We’re literally swooning over our Allegra Pullover, which comes in olive, pink, and oatmeal. Another versatile option would be our Serendipity Cardigan. Wear this one unbuttoned over your sun dress, with a tank top and shorts, or anything your heart desires.

The Long Shirt

Our long button down kimonos might be the most versatile option so far. Both our Lydia Button Down and the Sadie Kimono are neutral, lightweight, and can be worn several different ways.

We love the fact that the Lydia shirt can be worn over a bathing suit, buttoned up as a shirt dress, or as a kimono with a fun shirt underneath. The same goes for our Sadie Kimono! This one will go with any swimsuit or outfit you put on, which makes it ideal for throwing in your suitcase or beach bag.

Trendy and Colorful

Don’t be intimidated by these fun colorful blazers! We added these to the shop with many styles in mind. That’s what’s magical about our newest Lyric Blazer. You can spice up a white tank top and some light wash denim with just this layer, or you can go all out with the detail.

When we added this piece to our shop, we envisioned it over a graphic tee and a pair of denim shorts for the summer. You can rock this look in peach or sage with virtually any combination of top and bottoms to create the perfect look for your unique style.

The best quality this blazer has is its fabric. The Lyric Blazer is the most soft, silky layer you’ve ever felt, and is super breathable for those upcoming hot days.

Choose Your Outerwear

What do you think? Honestly, we won’t blame you for adding all of these incredible pieces to your cart right now. These summer outerwear options are screaming to be hung in your closet, or packed with your sunscreen and towel. You truly can’t go wrong no matter which one you choose. The only advice we’ll leave you with is, don’t wait long!

These items are going to fly out of the shop this season, so go ahead and secure your favorites by checking out online. See you around, Ayven Fam!
